Our Naughty Turkeys change Hugh’s view
Our small flock of organic Norfolk Black turkeys are thriving. They are like naughty adolescent teenagers, roaming around the farmyard uncontrollably - putting them 'to bed at night' is a real trial!
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall in this month's Country Living remarked "I've been quite sniffy about turkey in the past, but last year I bought a beautiful organic turkey from Sydling Brook...".

Best hangover sausage - official!
Try our frying Chorizo, a great, spicy fun sausage with many uses eg. fab mixed into salads, think squash or goats cheese, great in warming soups, and of course brilliant wedded with scallops.
Lesley Waters (Celebrity chef), wrote in last week's Sunday Times, "They do the best Chorizo sausages ever - excellent for a hangover" !

Gammon over to our place
We are producing a wonderful gammon for cooking which produces the best ham. Our Wessex Saddleback pigs forage widely on a seasonal diet, we dry cure the hams, and then I personally favour the 'Delia' recipe, roasting with studded cloves, English mustard and brown sugar. The flavour is incredible, so moreish, great hot or cold, will feed the 5,000 as well as any unexpected arrivals!

Sydling’s Butch blokes
Our two butchers, Rory and Ashley, are brothers with 70 years of traditional butchery experience between them. As well as the 'standard cuts' they are happy to tailor make anything to your requirements, whether you are after the daube, the trotters, the tail, or perhaps have a penchant for faggots...they are creative to order and love the unusual.
